Loyola Business Marketing Team Finalist in AMA Competition
The Loyola University New Orleans student marketing team, from the College of Business , is one of eight finalists in the American Marketing Association (AMA) 2004-2005 competition. This is the fourth consecutive year Loyola's team has reached finals, which will be held this year on April 12, 2005, in New Orleans .
Eight finalists are selected to participate in an oral competition. Each team will give a 30-minute presentation of its marketing plan, followed by a 15-minute question and answer period with the judges from the sponsors' organizations.
The Loyola team will present a promotion plan for Goodyear/Sullivan. On this year's team is Amanda Eckersley, Jesus Portillo, Jeff Barker, Amie St. Germain, Mike Weithop, and Stephanie Miranda.
Other 2005 finalists are British Columbia Institute of Technology, Saint Cloud State University , Stephen F. Austin University , University of Illinois-Champaign , University of Nebraska Lincoln , University of Utah , and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater .
The AMA International Case Competition is sponsored by Goodyear and Sullivan Tire and Auto Service. The competition is only open to schools which have an affiliated AMA Collegiate Chapter and all team members must belong to that chapter
