  • Mr Justin J. Marocco, one of our accounting majors, is being awarded the prestigious LCPA Scholarship this year. Mr Marocco will be presented the scholarship by Mr Brent A. Silva of LCPA during our Awards Ceremony on May 9.
  • The Students in Free Enterprise team was awarded the First Runner-up trophy at the2008 Regional Competition in Orlando.
  • The American Marketing Association Case Team finished 3rd in the2008 National Case Competition.
  • The Students in Free Enterprise team was named 2007 Regional Champion.
  • Loyola’s chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi received a national award for its philanthropic campaign – “Support Our Troops” – in August 2007.
  • Last year, over 30 different scholarly publications featured Loyola students’ work.
  • 2007 MBA graduate Paul Ellis is a founding member and current vice president of a realtime, online competitive marketplace for accounts receivable – The Receivables Exchange.
  • A team of business undergraduates was selected as one of six finalists in the 2006 Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition, sponsored by Singapore Management University. Loyola's team, called RealSNAP Backup, Inc., was the only team from the United States to advance to the finals.
  • The College of Business SIFE Team (Students in Free Enterprise) was selected as “Rookie Team of the Year” in the annual SIFE Team competition.
  • Brandon Thibodeaux, ’04, was a 2003 Truman Scholarship Finalist. He is also the recipient of a Pamela Harriman Foreign Service Fellowship.
  • Fernando Rivera, ’04, and Osmin Rivera, ’05, were awarded two of only 20 nationwide internships with JPMorgan Chase in Manhattan, New York.
  • Emily Edwards, ’04, was awarded one of only twelve national internships with fashion handbag designer Kate Spade in New York, New York.
  • The student marketing team placed second in the 2003 American Marketing Association Case Competition held at the American Marketing Association’s 25th Annual International Collegiate Conference. The competition involved creating a marketing plan for Pringles Potato Crisps, a brand marketed by Proctor & Gamble.
  • Percy Marchand, ’03, Student Government Association Vice President 2002 – 03, was the recipient of a North American Collegiate Entrepreneur Award.
  • Kristi Chenoweth, ’02, was named one of three Business Valuation Services Scholarship recipients from more than 500 applications.
  • Katherine Wingfield, ’01, was named outstanding female undergraduate for 2000 – 01.
